34th annual Saturn Film/Television/DVD Award Winners

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films awarded its 34th annual Saturn Awards on 24 June 2008 at the Universal Hilton in Universal City, California. The Academy was founded in 1972 to honor and recognize genre achievement.
Guillermo del Toro and Tim Lucas received special awards, which we detailed in this article. In addition, producers Robert Halmi, Sr., and Robert Halmi, Jr., received the Life Career Award “for their successful body of work.”
The leader among film nominees was 300, with 10 nominations. The film picked up two awards (the biggest winner of the night was Enchanted, which took home three). Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which was second with 9 nominations, didn’t win any awards. But third-place Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street started with 8 nominations and went home with two awards.
In the television categories, Lost, which was the nominee leader with 7, was also the award leader, garnering 4.
