As previously announced, Destinies—The Voice of Science Fiction will round out its I-Con-related programming on 11 April with a live, hour-long I-Con 27 Retrospective, featuring “a panel of seasoned I-Con veterans gathered to discuss the high and low points of the previous week’s convention.”
Following that, host Dr. Howard Margolin will feature “a celebration of Superman’s 70th birthday (on the actual 70th anniversary of the release of Action Comics # 1), featuring two unaired pilot episodes of the Adventures of Superman radio series, recorded in 1939,” on his 18 April program.
On 25 April, the show celebrates its own 25th anniversary with a new installment of Christopher DeFilippis’ “DeFlip Side,” music from Murray Gold, Neil Norman, Joel Goldsmith, and Synergy; and encore performances of readings by T.A. Barron, C.C. Ekeke, and Justin Gustainis.
The science fiction radio program airs Fridays at 11:30PM on 90.1 FM, WUSB, Stony Brook, New York. In addition to the broadcast, Destinies can be heard online at www.wusb.fm. The show is also archived at www.captphilonline.com/Destinies.html and at https://podcast.ic.sunysb.edu/weblog/destinies.
