Scott Dunbier is now Special Projects Editor for IDW. He was the executive editor of DC Comics’s WildStorm imprint, but left that company last year. Dunbier told Publishers Weekly his initial contact with IDW was due to the fact that he “known the guys who started IDW for a very long time. They came from WildStorm. Ted Adams, the president of IDW, and I play poker from time to time.”
As special projects editor, he’ll “have a lot of latitude to explore different kinds of projects. Hopefully, each will have two unifying factors: quality and accessibility. Other than that, I don’t want to limit the possibilities. They can be comics, graphic novels, art books, whatever.”
In the interview, Dunbier also talks about his background, specifically his start in comics as an art dealer.
