Variety reports the top movies of the week in terms of box office take. For the week of 22-28 February 2008, new release Vantage Point topped the charts, pushing everything else down. Jumper last week’s #1, was pushed down to #2, grossing $15.7 million, for a two-week box-office take of $59.2 million. The Spiderwick Chronicles were pushed from #2 to #3, taking in $15.4 million, for a two-week take of $46.3 million.
The Eye dropped from #12 to #17, taking in $1.7 million, for a four-week total of $29.3 million.
Untraceable, Cloverfield, and the reappearing Enchanted all dropped out of the top 25. Untraceable fell from #15 to #26 in its fifth week in release. Cloverfield fell from #21 to #29 in its sixth week in release. Disney’s Enchanted returned to the #25 spot last week, but dropped back to #30 in its 14th week in release.
