Variety reports the top movies, in terms of box office take, for the week of 29 February-6 March 2008. Last week’s #1, Vantage Point, dropped to #2, behind new opener Semi-Pro. Period drama The Other Boleyn Girl opened in the #3 spot.
In genre films, last week’s #3, The Spiderwick Chronicles dropped to #4, taking in $10.6 million in its third week, for a total box office take of $56.9 million. Jumper dropped from #2 to #5, grossing $9.6 million for a three-week total of $68.8 million.
The Eye dropped from #17 to #21, taking in just under $1 million, for a five-week total of $30.2 million.
