Top Box Office Grossers: Second Week of February

Variety reports the top movies of the week in terms of box office take. For the week of 8-14 February 2008, two new genre films opened out of the top five, and two others left the top 25. The Eye dropped from #2 to #4, taking in $8.3 million, for a two-week total of $23.1 million. Jumper opened at #8, grossing $6.6 million.
Untraceable dropped out of the top ten, from #8 to #13, bringing in $4.5 million for a three-week total of $25.4 million. Cloverfield was down from #10 to #14, taking in $3.5 million, for a four-week total of $76.8 million. The Spiderwick Chronicles opened at #19, with a box office take of $2.3 million.
I Am Legend and Sweeney Todd both dropped out of the top 25. Legend from #21 to #26 in its ninth week in release, and Sweeney from #24 to #37 in its eighth week in release.
