Author Ursula K. Le Guin has added a new “Read by the Author” feature to her web site. These are free audio MP3 files available for download. The first entry is “The Open Boat,” an excerpt from her classic fantasy novel, A Wizard of Earthsea, which has been in print continuously since its first publication in 1968.
Scheduled additions in the coming weeks include three poems from Wild Angels, the complete short story “She Unnames Them,” and “A Book of Songs: Twelve Poems” from Incredible Good Fortune.
