Oddlands looking for all sorts of speculative fiction

New webzine Oddlands is scheduled to debut on 1 March 2008, with successive issues following every two weeks. According to the ‘zine’s web site, “we are a semi-pro market for fantasy, science, speculative, and what-have-you fiction. Our vision is to publish high-quality, original fiction.” They note that they’ll accept “fantasy and science fiction of all flavors. We appreciate hard SF, dark fantasy, and everything in between.” They also list a preference for stories told in the third person, rather than first person. They’re offering one cent per word ($10 flat rate for poetry and art) for first electronic rights (including archiving for at least six months) to original, unpublished work.
The web site looks like the ‘zine will be offered for free with a tip jar. For more information, including the complete guidelines, see oddlandsmagazine.com.
