Top Box Office Grossers: Fourth Week in November

Variety reports the top 25 movies for the week of 23-29 November in terms of box office take. Disney’s self-spoof Enchanted opened in the top spot, taking in nearly $39 million. Last week’s #1, Beowulf, was pushed down to #2, grossing $20.6 million for a two-week total of $60.7 million. Fred Claus dropped from #4 to #6, bringing in $12 million for a three-week take of $54.3 million. New horror film The Mist opened as the #8 movie, grossing $11.1 million.
Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium dropped out of the top 10 in only its second week, falling from #5 to #11, earning $8.8 million for a two-week total of $23.1 million (though, to be fair, there are five brand-new releases in the top 10). All those new releases pushed Saw IV from #9 to #20, as it took in $540 thousand for a five-week total of just under $63 million.
30 Days of Night and Martian Child both fell out of the top 25, after five and three weeks, respectively.
