Variety reports the top 25 movies for the week of 28 September-4 October in terms of box office take. Last week’s #1, Resident Evil: Extinction, dropped to #3, but still brought in $10.4 million to give a two-week total of $39.2 million.
Transformers is still coming back strong. Last week, it jumped from #24 to #16, and this week, it’s up to #15, grossing $1.6 million to bring its 13-week total to $315.5 million. Halloween dropped from #11 to #17, grossing $1.3 million for a five-week take of $56.5 million. Dragon Wars dropped hard, from #10 to #18, taking in $1.2 million for a three-week total of $10.5 million. Stardust is down from #20 to #24, bringing in just under $350 thousand for an eight-week total of $37.9 million. Underdog dropped from #23 to #25, grosssing another $300 thousand to give it a nine-week total of $42.7 million.
