Mike McPhail‘s military sf anthology Breach the Hull, published by Marietta Publishing, will launch at Philcon this November. As with their previous book launches, they’re holding a raffle in conjunction with the party.
Making use of the icons McPhail designed for each story, the raffle prize will be “a complete set of military style embroidered patches labeled with cards autographed by the authors and framed with a copy of the cover art.” Purchasers of the paperback anthology will get a free raffle ticket, with additional tickets available for $1 each. Purchasers of the hardcover version will get five raffle tickets. Tickets will be distributed with sales that weekend, and the prize awarded at the launch party on 17 November in the Con Suite (location and time will be announced at the convention).
At press time, all the contributors to the anthology are expected to be at Philcon. The line-up of authors is: Danielle Ackley-McPhail, James Chambers, John G. Hemry (writing as Jack Campbell), CJ Henderson, Jeffrey Lyman, Jack McDevitt, Mike McPhail, James Daniel Ross, Tony Ruggiero, Lawrence M. Schoen, Bud Sparhawk, Patrick Thomas, and John C.Wright.
