Del Rey Editor-in-Chief Betsy Mitchell tells us of some interesting events, both professional and personal.
On the professional side, she notes that “We were delighted that Naomi Novik‘s Empire of Ivory [the fourth book in her “Temeraire” series] hit the New York Times mass market list at #15! She also was on the Publishers Weekly list at #5 and the BookSense (independent booksellers) list at #7.”
On the personal side, Cecilia Dart-Thornton took this photo “of me and the largest plate of plastic curry I’ve ever seen, in Yokohama while attending the Worldcon.” Mitchell adds that “I haven’t found anywhere to use it but gee, it shouldn’t go to waste.” And who are we to deny the world a wonderful photo of Betsy Mitchell and a large plate of plastic curry?
