In keeping with the theme at his book release party, author Brian Francis Slattery will be reading from his book, Spaceman Blues: A Love Song with musical accompaniment. Providing the music will be John Pinamonti on guitar, Charlie Shaw on drums, Rima Fand on violin, and Nate Landau on bass. Following the reading/concert, Pinamonti will perform a second set. There will also be a raffle for prizes.
The reading and performances will be at Barbès, 376 9th Street (at the corner of 6th Avenue) in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn, New York. Slattery goes on at 8PM on Thursday 13 September 2007.
