Librarian, historian, and author Fred Lerner is traveling to Denmark, where he’ll be giving a couple of lectures. One of particular interest is on “How Science Fiction Became Respectable, Why It Matters, and What We Should Do About It.” The lecture, in English, will be in the Blixen Auditorium at the Royal Library in Copenhagen (Søren Kierkegaards Plads 1, Copenhagen) on Tuesday 2 October at 17:00. The lecture is sponsored by Danmarks Biblioteksskole [the Royal School of Library and Information Science], whose telephone number is 32 58 60 66.
In addition to the sf lecture, he’ll be lecturing to their students at the library school, where his book The Story of Libraries is used as a textbook.
