Dress Like a Dalek; a Record Attempt

The Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester, England, is shooting for a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. On Sunday 26 August, they’re aiming to have “the largest gathering of people dressed as Daleks.” They invite everyone who’s interested to “put on your best Dalek costume and join us at the Museum to be part of the record breaking attempt!
To be part of the world record you need to register with us by calling Sarah Roe at 0161 606 0176 or emailing s.roe@mosi.org.uk.”
The record attempt is an event taking place during their “Doctor Who—Up-Close” exhibit, which opened in March and runs through 5 November 2007. The exhibit is the largest Doctor Who exhibition in the UK. Visitors are “able to get up-close to actual props, costumes, and monsters from the hit BBC program, including the Empress of Racnoss from the Christmas Special, The Runaway Bride.” The exhibition will also “feature exciting new items from the latest programs once they have been seen on TV.”
