Short Horrors from Connie Wilson

Connie (Corcoran) Wilson reports that “Amazing Andy, the Wonder Chicken”—which “began life as an 1800 word short story and then was cut to 666 words to appear at Micro-Horror“—won an honorable mention in Whim’s Place‘s recently completed quarterly flash fiction contest “at its 500-word length.”
Her short story “Going Through Hell” is scheduled for publication at Mysterical-E this Fall, and she also says “‘Hell to Pay’ (which I refer to as the Amish cell phone story) will appear in issue #3 of the print magazine Tabard Inn,” which is subtitled “Tales of Questionable Taste.”
Wilson also has an interview with Michael McCarty online at Horror Garage and another with actress-turned-author Anne Perry scheduled to follow it.
Describing herself, Wilson says “I am a relatively new and unknown member of HWA, but I have been writing professionally in other fields for 50 years. A graduate of the University of Iowa with a master’s degree, I have taught at six colleges and written for five newspapers.”
