William Sanders sold reprint rights to J. to Norilana Books.
J. is his first “purely science fiction” serious novel, as opposed to alternate history for which he is best known. It “is both a psychological paean and an adventure love story of three very unusual women of grit, passion, and madness, whose paths cross, defying space and, just possibly, time.”
Norilana expects to publish the book in hardcover in October 2007, with a trade paperback version following the next month.
Sanders’s other books include The Ballad of Billy Badass and the Rose of Turkestan, A Death on 66, Are We Having Fun Yet?, and Journey to Fusang. He is a two-time winner of the Sidewise Award for Alternate History, and a multiple finalist for the Oklahoma Book Award, the Nebula, the Hugo, the Theodore Sturgeon, and the John W. Campbell Award. He is the senior editor of speculative fiction magazine Helix and lives in Oklahoma.
