Dinner with Joss Whedon available in charity auction

Joss Whedon and his publisher, Dark Horse Comics, are going to offer five deep-pocketed fans a chance to have dinner with Whedon during the San Diego Comic Con. Those five will be chosen by auction on Ebay. The dinner and auction are a fund-raiser for Equality Now.
The auction, which opens on 2 July, runs for 10 days. The top five bidders will win places at the private dinner, which will be on 27 July. Whedon “will take five winning bidders to a swank San Diego restaurant for drinks and dinner in a private room. Three hours of intimate conversation, hilarious anecdotes and dark, awkwardly personal secrets. (Not to mention a little swag.)” According to Whedon “any subject you like is on the menu (not the actual menu; that’ll probably just have food). For three hours, Joss gets to be your biggest fan.”
For fans who can’t make the dinner, there will also be auctions for four “Engraved Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Seven Crew Gift Watches (Swiss Army, stainless steel, 3-hand analog quartz with date, water resistant to 100 meters; engraved on back with BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, 1997 – 2003)” and advanced copies of the Serenity Special Edition Hardcover: Those Left Behind, signed by Whedon.
All the proceeds from these auctions will benefit Equality Now, an organization founded in 1992 to work for the protection and promotion of the human rights of women around the world.
To participate in the auctions, or for more details, see ebay.com/josswhedon.
Whedon is the creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (both the movie and the television series, as well as its continuation as a comic book published by Dark Horse), its spin-off series Angel, and the series Firefly (which was followed by its feature film, Serenity).
