After releasing issue #12 at Wiscon, Editor John Klima of Electric Velocipede has come to the conclusion that he can’t do it all himself. The first 12 issues of the twice-a-year ‘zine have been almost entirely the efforts of one person: Klima himself. But now he’s taken on a slush reader, some help with the nonfiction element of the publication, and he’s looking at bringing on art assistance.
Klima is also announcing his first subscription drive. He expects to raise the cover price from $4 to $5 next year, but is offering a four-issue subscription for $15, or a “patronage subscription” (pretty much a lifetime subscription) for $100.
