The MTV Movie Awards were handed out last night. The event was hosted by Sarah Silverman, and held in the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California. Unlike most of the post-show recaps, we’re not going to mention that heiress who is now in prison.
Three genre films took home a total of four golden popcorn trophies. They include:
300, which won Best Fight (Gerard Butler vs. “The Uber Immortal”)
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, which won Best Movie and Best Performance (Johnny Depp)
Transformers, which won Best Summer Movie You Haven’t Seen Yet (it’s due to be released 4 July)
The full list of winners, including non-genre films, is on MTV’s web site. We published the full list of genre nominees on this page.
