Maine Anthology Seeking Speculative Fiction

Noreen Doyle is “seeking original and reprint works for That Mysterious Door: Maine Tales of Fantasy and Speculation. The anthology will be published by Down East Books in 2008.”
Stories “must be set in Maine or involve people or things from Maine, including recent immigrant communities. All subgenres of speculative fiction are welcomed, and length may range from vignette to 7,500. However, longer works will be considered, especially in the case of reprints.”
Payment is 3-5 cents/word for original stories (reprint rates vary) plus 2 copies of the anthology. Deadline is 16 June 2007.
Full guidelines and submission address are available at this link. Doyle has also posted commentary on what she’s been seeing and what she’s looking for on that page.
Doyle is herself a writer, and was to co-editor of The First Heroes: New Tales of the Bronze Age with Harry Turtledove, which was a finalist for the 2005 World Fantasy Award.
