Subterranean Press has announced that Joe Hill and his agent have authorized a second printing of their edition of Heart-Shaped Box. “There will be 100 signed copies of the deluxe edition ($85) in the reprint, and 400 unsigned copies of the regular edition ($60). Given the prices the book is fetching on Ebay, Joe wanted to make it available again to fans who might have missed out the first time.” Domestic postage is included in the prices. Subterranean is also “limiting households to one copy of either edition, and those who ordered the first printing are not eligible to buy a copy of the second printing.”
Subterranean anticipates such a great demand that they’re not planning to list the book on their web site’s catalog. Instead, interested customers must e-mail them at subpress@gmail.com for instructions. They expect to ship copies in May.
The first printing—which included 300 limited edition copies, 200 deluxe limited edition copies, and 15 lettered copies—sold out incredibly quickly. The non-limited Morrow edition is still available.
Author Joe Hill recently revealed that his full name is Joseph Hillstrom King, and that he is author Stephen King’s second child. He writes under the Joe Hill name because he wanted to see if he could succeed as a writer on his own.
