Film editor and actor James Lyons dies

Film editor and actor James Lyons died 12 April 2007 of squamous cell cancer. He had been undergoing treatment for HIV for more than ten years. He was 46 and lived in Brooklyn Heights, New York City.
Much of his work, he said, was an attempt to spread awareness of AIDS. Perhaps his best-known work was editing The Virgin Suicides and Prozac Nation. His acting and editing debut was 1991’s horror film Poison.
