The folks at Albedo 1, “Ireland’s Magazine of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror,” have announced the short-list for their second annual Aeon Award, although the contest remains open to new submissions until the end of June. After the contest closes, the contest administrators will choose the top six stories, from which author Ian Watson will choose the €1000 winner.

The titles of the short-listed stories have been released, although the author’s name are still being withheld to maintain the fairness of the judging. The stories making it thus far are listed on Albedo 1‘s main page.
