In honor of Coca-Cola Bottling Day (a holiday which he apparently celebrates with far too much gusto), author John Scalzi has posted the first chapter of The Android’s Dream for free on his popular blog, Whatever. The novel is still available for purchase, but with an opening line like: “Dirk Moeller didn’t know if he could really fart his way into a major diplomatic incident. But he was ready to find out,” it simply must be pointed out to a wider audience.
The chapter is available at this link. Scalzi introduces it by saying, “I think as you read this chapter that it’s clear that I as the author had entirely too much fun writing it. I hope you have as much fun with it as I did.”
