Justin Chanda is the new associate publisher of Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers, effective today. He’ll be in charge of the hardcover imprint, and will report to publisher Rubin Pfeffer. He was executive editor of Atheneum since July 2005, and was previously with HarperCollins’ Joanna Cotler Books.
Chanda is replacing Elizabeth Law, who is leaving the company.
S&S BfYR announced two other promotions at the same time: Alexandra Cooper to editor, and Jordan Brown to associate editor.
