Bruce McAllister’s short story “The Boy in Zaquitos” (which originally appeared in The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction‘s January 2006 issue) has been selected to appear in the 2007 volume of The Best American Short Stories, guest-edited by Stephen King. It will also be appearing in McAllister’s collection, The Girl Who Loved Animals and Other Stories, which Golden Gryphon Press will be publishing in October.
