Marvel announced that their sales for 2006 ended on an up note. Sales were up 17% to $108.5 million, causing operating income to increase 21% to $44.1 million. They pointed to trade paperback and hardcover sales in both the book channel and the direct market as the prime movers, as well as gains in custom publishing sales.
