UK author Martyn Taylor is now represented by the John Jarrold Literary Agency. Taylor has had short stories published in sf/f magazines and computer games magazines. He has also written for television and radio, and book and film reviews.
His new novel, which Jarrold is currently shopping around, is Happyland, a “fantastical work, set mostly in our world but taking in the realms of imagination and a family whose sins echo over three generations. It mixes real-life horrors with dark fairy tales that would make the Brothers Grimm shudder.”
Jarrold describes the novel as “a remarkable book, in its plotlines and characterisations. Think of Neil Gaiman crossed with Jonathan Carroll, and then sprinkle originality over the mix.”
