On 1 March 2014, membership rates to join Loncon 3, the 2014 World Science Fiction Convention, will rise as follows:

– Family membership rates, for two adults and two or more children, increase from GBP 260 (US$430, Euro 330) to GBP 280 (US$470, Euro 360).

Only a little time is left to buy a membership, or to upgrade from a Supporting to an Adult Attending membership, at the current prices.

As part of the convention’s policy to encourage families and children to attend Loncon 3, the following Attending membership rates, are unchanged (ages based on the person’s age as of 14 August 2014):

– Infants (0-5 years old) at GBP 2 (US$3 / Euro 3)
– Children (6-15 years old) at GBP 30 (US$50 / Euro 40)
– Young Adults (16-25 years old) at GBP 65 (US$110 / Euro 85)

The rate for a Supporting membership is also unchanged at GBP 25 (US$40 / Euro 35).

These rates are good to 14 July 2014, when all rates will increase to our at-the-door prices.

Also note that the payment instalment plan to help fans to spread the cost of their membership to Loncon 3 will close to new participants on 1 March 2014.

Loncon 3 is expected to attract more than 7,000 fans at London’s ExCeL centre including hundreds of writers, editors, artists, and other professionals from across the genre. The convention celebrates science fiction and fantasy in all its forms and, in particular, the work of Guests of Honour Iain M Banks, John Clute, Chris Foss, Malcolm Edwards, Jeanne Gomoll, Robin Hobb, and Bryan Talbot.
