ATTENTION MONSTER KIDS AND FILMMAKERS! Famous Monsters of Filmland, the world’s oldest entertainment magazine, is once again hosting a film festival to seek out the next generation of storytellers and creature creators.
This year, FM is teaming up with the Big Wow Comicfest to bring you a film festival dedicated to celebrating the types of movies you love to watch. Big Wow is one of the largest comic and pop culture conventions in northern California and attracts over 10,000 people just looking to be entertained by the next great genre story.
Happening May 17th and 18th in beautiful San Jose, CA, this year’s fest promises to be the biggest and most exciting to date! We want your horror movies, your Sci-Fi movies, your fantasy, your animation, and anything just plain weird. The festival will feature prizes, parties, and more for those filmmakers able to make it out and celebrate with us. Winners will receive festival laurels and will be featured in Famous Monsters magazine.
The fest is looking for original short and feature genre films, original animations, and original short and feature length screenplays from aspiring storytellers, directors, producers, screenwriters, and monster makers!
