Gordon Rupert Dickson is one of the most influential Science Fiction and Fantasy writers in American history. Dickson is known by some as the father of military space opera for his Dorsai series, he has published over 100 short stories and 55 novels. Dickson has been honored for multiple awards including The Hugo and Nebula. He served as the Science Fiction Writers of America President from 1969 – 1971. In 2000, he was added to the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame.

We say all of this to say it is the greatest honor to have added the Gordon Rupert Dickson legacy to the Night Shade eBook catalog for the first time in the United States!

(first published in 1959), Necromancer (1962), The Spirit of Dorsai (1979), and Lost Dorsai (1981) — as well as his first novel, Alien from Arcturus (1956), an installment from his Dragon Knight series (1994’s The Dragon, the Earl, and the Troll), and two stand-alones: Time to Teleport (1960), and Wolf and Iron (1990).

Dickson died in 2001 at the age of 77.
