A press release from the Writers of the Future contest:
As we come to the conclusion of our 30th year of the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future Contest, we are now announcing the 4th quarter winners:
1st Place: Megan E. O’Keefe of California
2nd Place: Oleg Kazantsev of Illinois
3rd Place: C. Stuart Hardwick of Texas
When hearing of his win on Facebook, C. Stuart Hardwick responded: “I won! I’m an L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future Contest winner! I don’t usually get too excited about contests, but this one is the real deal.
“The largest and most respected of its kind, WOTF counts Dave Wolverton and Robert J. Sawyer among its current judges and the likes of Stephen Baxter, Dean Wesley Smith and David Zindell among its winners. To win is truly an honor and the payoff for a lot of hard work over the last three years. An even better payoff? I get to go to LA for a week-long writers’ workshop with authors I’ve admired for years.”
