An announcement from Robert J. Sawyer:
In honor of the donation of Robert J. Sawyer’s archives to McMaster University, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, that institution is hosting the academic conference “Science Fiction: The Interdisciplinary Genre” Friday, September 13, through Sunday, September 15, 2013.
Guests of honor are authors Robert J. Sawyer, Julie E. Czerneda, Élisabeth Vonarburg, and Robert Charles Wilson and editors John Robert Colombo and David G. Hartwell. More than 30 academic papers will be presented by scholars from all over North America in disciplines ranging from astronomy to theology and from literature to genetics.
The conference, sponsored by McMaster University Library, the Office of Advancement, and the Faculty of Humanities, and chaired by Dr. Catherine Grisé and Dr. Nicholas Serruys, is free and open to the public. For more information, see http://sfwriter.com/mcmaster.htm.
