Boston SciFi Film Festival gearing up again

A press release from the Boston Science Fiction Film Festival:acquia_prosper_logo

It’s summer, but that doesn’t mean we’re not thinking about winter.

Winter is when we gather to see sci-fi film after sci-fi film, but right now it is summer, and summer is when we begin the process.

On August 7th, we will begin accepting film submissions from around the world. Filmmakers can submit their films and we will select those that meet our standard. These in turn will be screened at SF39. There will be features, shorts, animation, and maybe even a documentary or two. If you’re a filmmaker wanting to submit your film, please visit us through Without A Box, the world’s leader in festival submissions

On August 15, “Early Bird” tickets will go one sale. As the name indicates, these tickets will be at reduced price.  Tickets will be available through the main web site, www.Bostonsci-fi.com/Tickets.

Aside from that, we are looking for volunteers, especially judges. Judges will help select the films shown from those that are submitted. Judges will be given special web page access privileges. There they can screen films at their own pace, and rate them according on our simple judges ballots. If this piques your interest, please send an email to; klaatu (at) Bostonsci-fi (dot) com. Thanks

There are more things in the works including special guests, new contests and more. We hope to make announcements sooner rather than later, but please stay tuned either here, on the web or on our Facebook page.
