Apex is producing a second promotional print issue of Apex Magazine.
The first one, featuring stories by Sarah Monette and Elizabeth Bear, nonfiction by Jim C. Hines, an interview with Maureen McHugh, and cover art by Scott Murphy, was well-received and appreciated greatly by fans and readers. We are out of the 1000 printed copies we had made, but you can still get it in eBook format from our website here.
The second promotional issue will be like the first, except bigger (44 pages) and better (professionally printed). We have four stories this time (Christopher Barzak, Kat Howard, Lettie Prell, and Rachel Swirksy). Also included is an interview with Cherie Priest and nonfiction by Sarah Kuhn. Cover art provided by the great Julie Dillon. Once more, only 1000 copies will be produced.
Due to reader request and feedback, we are making signed copies of the second promotional issue available to Apex Magazine fans for $5.00 (plus $1 shipping). Non-domestic customers will need to query (jason@apexbookcompany.com). The issue will be signed by editor-in-chief Lynne M. Thomas, publisher Jason Sizemore, managing editor Michael Damian Thomas, and authors Lettie Prell and Rachel Swirsky. This offer is available only through next Wednesday.
All money raised by this sale will go toward the printing of the promotional issue and the production of Apex Magazine.
