Space Memorabilia Auction

Heritage Auctions’ forthcoming space memorabilia auction includes many lots of what you’d expect: stamps, coins, medallions, photos, letters, and books. But there are also some oddball lots, such as:

Buzz Aldrin’s Apollo 11 Flown Toothbrush and Sleeve (opening bid:$9,000. Expected sale price: $18,000-$24,000

a pouch of “Toasted Bread Cubes” flown on Apollo 17 (and apparently not eaten) from Gene Cernan’s collection (opening bid: $1,250. Expected sale price: $2,500-$3,500)

Apollo 17 Lunar Module Commander’s Arm Rest (opening bid: $7,500. Expected sale price: $15,000-$25,000)
