A press release from Chris Arrant of Project: Rooftop:
After months of anticipation and behind-closed-doors judging, Project: Rooftop is proud to announce the winners of the “Shadowman: In A New Light” Redesign contest. The contest, done in partnership with Valiant Entertainment, invited artists of all stripes to submit their vision for a redesigned Shadowman. With over 100 entries into the contest, guest judge Patrick Zircher (co-writer/artist of the current Shadowman series) and P:R staff judged the results and narrowed down the results to one final winner.
Long-time P:R artist Tony Aros of Lexington, Kentucky walked away with the First Place prize for his stunning rendition of Shadowman. P:R
Staff member and professional cartoonist Jon Morris calls the design “Sleek and ominous,” and Zircher called it a “cool look.” Here is Aros’ image, and you can visit the Project: Rooftop site to see the judges’ comments in full.
