The Hugo Awards are the premier award of the science fiction genre, honoring science fiction literature and media, as well as fans of the genre. The Hugo Awards were first presented at the 1953 World Science Fiction Convention in Philadelphia (Philcon II), and they have continued to honor science fiction and fantasy notables for nearly 60 years.

More information about the Hugo Awards, including details on how to submit a nomination ballot, is available from www.LoneStarCon3.org/hugo-awards/. Ballots may be submitted by postal mail or online. Online voters will need a unique LoneStarCon 3 Personal Identification Number (PIN) to enter their ballot. These have already been issued to members by email and also distributed along with Progress Report 3, for those members receiving printed progress reports.
