2013 Golden Globe Winners Announced

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association handed out their 70th annual Golden Globes on Sunday night.

Last year, we saw the continuation of an apparent dislike of sf/f/h, when seven films and three television programs combined for a scant 14 nominations out of 25 categories. This year, eight typical films and two programs garnered 11 nominations, but three other films with overt speculative fiction elements or connections picked up 11 nominations. We detailed the nominees of interest in this article.

The winners of interest include:

Argo: won the award for Best Motion Picture – Drama, and for Best Director – Motion Picture (Ben Affleck)

Brave: won the award for Best Animated Feature Film

Life of Pi: won the award for Best Original Score – Motion Picture (Mychael Danna)

Skyfall: won the award for Best Original Song – Motion Picture (“Skyfall”)

None of our television nominees won any awards. The full list of winners is on this page.
