Brooklyn’s KingCon is still on this weekend

In another sign of recovery in New York City, Brooklyn’s own comic convention, KingCon, is still on for this weekend at the Brooklyn Lyceum (227 Fourth Avenue). In recognition of the ongoing recovery efforts, however, the previously announced admission is being waived in favor of a donation/pay-what-you-will. And the previously announced panel discussions are being postponed to later in the year, since some of the guests for those panels would have too much trouble getting in from out of town. But the other events (movies, kids events, artists alley, dealers’ room) all are happening. And SFScope editor Ian Randal Strock’s Fantastic Books will have a table at the con, too.
