Huffington Post’s Maureen Ryan provides 70-minute interview with George R.R. Martin, recorded at WorldCon

Maureen “Mo” Ryan, of the Huffington Post interviewed George R.R. Martin at Chicon. About three minutes before the panel, I brought Peter Sagal of Wait, Wait… Don’t Tell Me into the room and introduced him to Mo, asking her to make sure he was introduced to George. More than that, she invited Peter to be on the panel.

Ryan writes:

Hi all! I wanted to let you know that I’ve published both a summary of Saturday’s Chicon7 panel with George R.R. Martin, and I’ve also published the entire recording in podcast form.

Here’s my blog post on the panel (which has the podcast embedded at the end of it)—this a few thoughts from me and a bullet list of some of the topics we discussed: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/04/game-of-thrones-season-3-characters_n_1854918.html.

And if you’d rather go directly to the podcast, which is a recording of the whole panel, that’s here: http://talkingtvwithryanandryan.libsyn.com/webpage/talking-tv-with-ryan-and-ryan-episode-12-talking-power-magic-and-storytelling-with-george-r-r-martin.

Thanks again to Peter for joining the panel at the last minute—I enjoyed every minute of the event and I’m glad that, despite my complete lack of technological know-how, the audio turned out to be at least serviceable.

Thanks again and take care,

Mo
