Historical mash-up novel turned action flick Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter opened at #3, freeing $23.0 million. Prometheus slipped from #2 to #4, thrilling up $14.8 million, for a three-week total of $113.3 million. Snow White and the Huntsman held steady at #5, charming up $12.1 million, for a four-week total of $141.2 million. The Avengers slipped from #7 to #8, earning $10.8 million, for an eight-week total of $602.1 million. Men in Black 3 fell from #6 to #9, neuralizing $9.0 million, for a five-week total of $166.7 million. Steve Carrell and Keira Knightley’s rom-com Seeking a Friend for the End of the World opened at #10, seeking out $5.5 million.
The Hunger Games held steady at #13, fighting up $1.0 million, for a fourteen-week total of $403.4 million. Battleship slipped from #11 to #14, battling up $800 thousand, for a six-week total of $63.5 million.
