2012 Campbell and Sturgeon Award Winners

The winners of this year’s Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award (for best short science fiction story published in 2011) and John W. Campbell Memorial Award (for best science-fiction novel of 2011) have been announced.
The winners of the Sturgeon Award are:
First Place: “The Choice” by Paul McAuley
Second Place: “Six Months Three Days” by Charlie Jane Anders
Third Place: “The Paper Menagerie” by Ken Liu
The winners of the Campbell Award are:
First Place (tie): The Islanders by Christopher Priest
First Place (tie): The Highest Frontier by Joan Slonczewski
Third Place: Embassytown by China Miéville
Honorable Mention: Osama by Lavie Tidhar
