SFScope editor Ian Randal Strock’s Fantastic Books is entering the e-book publishing market, with its first simultaneous print-on-demand and e-book publication: S.N. Lewitt’s Angel at Apogee. This is Lewitt’s fifth title available from Fantastic in both print and electronic editions.
The company was founded as a print-on-demand reprint house, bringing some of the biggest sf authors’ out-of-print backlists back into print: authors such as James Gunn, Tanith Lee, Michael Moorcock, Mike Resnick, and Norman Spinrad. When Strock took over, the company added original titles into the mix, both fiction and non-fiction. A few weeks ago, Fantastic Books added yet another dimension, with e-books. All Fantastic e-books are available through both Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com, as are the printed editions.
Fantastic titles already available as e-books include:
Fantastic Texas by Lou Antonelli
Jar Jar Binks Must Die by Daniel M. Kimmel
Blind Justice by S.N. Lewitt
Cyberstealth by S.N. Lewitt
Interface Masque by Shariann Lewitt
Memento Mori by Shariann Lewitt
The next books Fantastic will be offering in electronic editions are T. Jackson King’s YA novel Little Brother’s World, and his collection Judgment Day and Other Dreams. The company’s complete catalog is available at www.FantasticBooks.biz.
