2012 Golden Globe Nominees Announced

Continuing the trend we saw last year, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association is avoiding sf/f/h productions more and more. They’ve announced this year’s Golden Globe Award nominations today.The award ceremony takes place at 8PM EST (5PM PST) on 15 January 2012 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, and will be telecast live on NBC. The 69th Golden Globes will be the first of the new year’s television and movie awards.
An equal number of nominees picked up six fewer nominations this year than last (eight films and two television programs last year, seven films and three programs this year; 20 nominations last year, 14 nominations this year).

Hugo: nominated for Best Motion Picture—Drama; nominated for Best Director—Motion Picture (Martin Scorsese); nominated for Best Original Score—Motion Picture (Howard Shore)
Puss In Boots: nominated for Best Animated Feature Film
Rango: nominated for Best Animated Feature Film
