Realms of Fantasy’s October 2011 Issue

Editor Douglas Cohen tells us the October 2011 issue of Realms of Fantasy (the magazine’s 102nd) will be out soon.
Contents of this issue will include:
“Return to Paraiso” by Rochita Loenen-Ruiz (illustration by Veronica Casas)
“The Man Who Made No Mistakes” by Scott William Carter (illustration by Billy Norrby)
“Second Childhood” by Jerry Oltion (illustration by Laurie Harden)
“Sweeping the Hearthstone” by Betsy James (illustration by Ruth Sanderson)
“Barbie Marries the Jolly Fat Baker” by Nick DiChario (illustration by Peter Ferguson)
The usual columns will make up the magazine’s nonfiction. Cohen writes “In this issue’s Folkroots column, Theodora Goss writes about ‘The Myth and Magic of Narnia.’ In the movie column, Resa Nelson writes about the recent surge of fairy tale movies. The Artists Gallery covers the work of Ruth Sanderson, and we also have a special article from Elizabeth Bear called ‘The City Is the Forest: a Brief History of Urban Fantasy.’ In addition to all of this, you’ll find all the latest reviews on games and books.”
Ruth Sanderson’s illustration of “Sweeping the Hearthstone” will serve as the magazine’s cover art.
