JoSelle Vanderhooft takes over Norilana’s Lace and Blade anthology series

Norilana Books publisher Vera Nazarian announces that she has brought JoSelle Vanderhooft on as the new series editor for their annual elegant romantic fantasy anthology Lace and Blade.
Nazarian tells us “Vanderhooft is an author, editor, poet, reviewer, freelance journalist, dramaturg, and something of a lapsed playwright. She has published seven poetry books including the 2008 Bram Stoker Award finalist Ossuary and The Memory Palace, an autobiography in verse (which Norilana published in 2009). She also edits Drollerie Press’ LGBTQ imprint Flyleaf Press and has edited several anthologies.”
She currently lives in South Florida with her partner and one gloriously orange tabby cat.
Lace and Blade is supposed to be an “annual anthology series of sexy, elegant, swashbuckling romantic fantasy, where the sparkling wit of Oscar Wilde meets the manners of Jane Austen, the exotic sensual flair of Tanith Lee, and the deadly sharp blade of the Scarlet Pimpernel, Zorro, and D’Artagnan. The author lineup of volumes one and two, edited by acclaimed author and editor Deborah J.Ross, is a stellar example of some of the best talent working in the industry today.”
General writers’ guidelines for the anthology are on this page. Norilana will announce (later this year) when Vanderhooft is ready to start reading for the next edition.
