ABC News is reporting that a decomposed, partially mummified body found in actress Yvette Vickers home last week is probably that of the actress, who hadn’t been heard from in more than six months. Born 26 August 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri, she majored in picture and theatre arts at UCLA, and was best known for her role as Honey Parker in Attack of the 50 Foot Woman (1958). She was also Playboy magazine’s Playmate of the Month in July 1959.
Her first, uncredited, film role was in Sunset Blvd (1950). Her first credited appearance was in a 1953 television episode of I Led 3 Lives.
Her other genre appearances include: Evil Spirits (1990, her last acting role), The Dead Don’t Die (1975), What’s the Matter with Helen? (1971), and Attack of the Giant Leeches (1959).
Vickers was divorced three times, and apparently left no family members.
