Time-travel thriller Source Code opened at #2, arresting $19.6 million. Indie Canadian horror flick Insidious opened widely at #3, taking in $17.4 million. Limitless slipped from #3 to #4, earning $12.5 million, for a three-week total of $58.7 million. Rango slipped from #5 to #8, rounding up $6.0 million, for a five-week total of $115.2 million. Paul slipped from #6 to #9, spiriting away $5.7 million, for a three-week total of $33.3 million. Battle: Los Angeles slipped from #7 to #10, shooting up $4.7 million, for a four-week total of $79.7 million.
The Adjustment Bureau slipped from #8 to #11, arranging $2.8 million, for a five-week total of $59.2 million. Red Riding Hood slipped from #9 to #12, gobbling up $2.4 million, for a four-week total of $36.2 million. Beastly fell from #11 to #16, making $1.1 million, for a five-week total of $27.1 million. Gnomeo & Juliet fell from #14 to #19, romancing up $650 thousand, for an eight-week total of $97.1 million. Mars Needs Moms fell from #10 to #20, kidnapping $550 thousand, for a four-week total of $20.6 million. Tangled slipped from #18 to #21, spinning up $450 thousand, for a nineteen-week total of $199.2 million.
